Building on the success of the Swing 4400, Boston-Power `s second generation lithium-ion battery, the Swing 5300, is based on the same technology platform as the first generation cells. The Swing 5300 was designed to target the challenges of the automotive market, offering reduced internal impedance by 15% and increased energy density by ~20% which leads to reduced heat generation and therefore longer life. The Swing 5300 still maintains the high standards for environment and safety as its predecessor. These features make it an ideal solution for the long life and high performance needs of the electric vehicle market.
